Love this thought by Rob Coneybeer. Given that it looks like a high speed train connecting Los Angeles to San Francisco is all-but-dead (or won’t be done before I’m dead), an idea like this actually makes some sense. Which is exactly why it will never happen, sadly.
I wish more people in the US had experienced train travel, this would be a completely different story. The comfort and pleasure of traveling by train is such a radical contrast to the discomfort and inconvenience of the airlines. It’s a shame that it’s so hard to get practical infrastructure put together in the US in the face of misinformed public opinion.
Really like Marc Jacob work usually but this latest show reminds me of something…
